Environmental protection at water supply companies (WVU)

Environmental protection is a very important topic particularly for water suppliers (WVU)

Anyone who works with WVU in the long term must be in step with the times…

In addition to economically efficient value creation, ecological resource conservation is indispensable for a WVU. After all, water is life and life is a cycle. The cycles of water must remain clean. Only those who take care of our drinking water are aware of their holistic responsibility.

Many water suppliers participate in water protection programs, drive strict drinking water and wastewater controls, and live by legal regulations as well as their own environmentally conscious policies. Some WVU also place a lot of emphasis on the latest Industry 4.0 technologies to conserve and protect the environment with the most up-to-date resources.

Anyone who is so far ahead in environmental protection, both internally and externally, does not want weak links in the supply chain. Industrial valves made of plastic or "cheaply" produced cast iron bodies are simply outdated. Many WVU have recognized the change in social values of Industry 4.0 and are adapting to the changing needs of their cities and communities.

If one now wants to be a member of the WVU community, whether as an OEM, planning office or consultant, one should orient oneself to the modern environmental protection thinking of the water suppliers and their customers. In this context, DIN EN ISO 9001 certification and DVGW approval are almost such basic requirements that it hardly seems worth mentioning. Having these certificates is not an argument for a purchase. If these certifications are missing, however, this speaks against a purchase. What is becoming increasingly important are current certifications according to ISO 14001 and a neatly maintained Code of Conduct.

If you want to work in the long term with companies that live their holistic responsibility, you must not work behind the times when it comes to environmental protection.
