The back pressure regulator UV 5.1 ATEX H2 is intended for a power generation and desalination plant in the United Arab Emirates. The valve is installed in an outdoor compressor and designed for ATEX zone 2.
Due to the proximity to the coast, the customer requested a paint finish for corrosion protection. In this case, the valve was painted in accordance with DIN EN ISO 12944-5:2020 with protection class C5-m. The coating thickness of the paint is at least 240µm in order to meet the ATEX requirements.
