Special solution –
Pressure reducing valve DM 511ZK
- Destination: Germany
- Target sector: Pulp and paper industry
- Valves: 1 pc. in DN 50
- Special feature: Piston-controlled, intermediate piece, high reduction ratio
In a paper mill, the DM 511ZK pressure reducing valve was installed in a condensate line just upstream of the feed water tank. There, the valve regulates the pressure from 30 bar down to 2.8 bar. This is easily possible thanks to the piston control and the reduction ratio of 19:1.
In addition to the increased inlet pressure, the temperature of the medium at 234 °C should not be underestimated. To protect the control unit, the valve is fitted with an intermediate piece and requires a corresponding water seal. As a rule of thumb, 1 mm of water seal reduces the temperature by 1 °C. This means that the valve can be used up to 350 °C.
Hi, I am Sebastian and a product manager at the German valve manufacturer Mankenberg GmbH. We are a strong team of engineers, technicians and valve specialists. Together we find solutions. If they are not readily available, we will be happy to design them especially for your needs.
Inspiring technologies should always be shared. This is why I have made that blog post.
